Today is
Close to St. Louis and a dramatic road is Missouri Highway 79. It winds along the Missisippi's west bank, providing stunning views of the river and Illiniis beyond, in addition to showcasing excelent color in fall. St. Louis Post-Dispatch recommend rougtly 90-mile stretch of this serpentine, hilly road between St. Peters (off I-70) and Hannibal, wich< becouse of its Mark Twain history and lore, is worthy as a destination.
