In Everquest I am known as Sech. My city of origin is Qeynos. I am a human Paladin who specialises in the use of single hand swords and axes. I also like to train in Dodge and Bash skills. My spells are not forgotten however, and I practice in Meditation to increase my mana recharge rate. Currently I am not trained in any trade skill like Tailoring. I believe that it is more important to become an expert at combat so I have chosen to hone my skills in this area. Later I may choose to take up Blacksmithy. My weapon of choice is either a single hand sword or axe. For magically enhanced enemies I have a Shining Star Of Light mace. I also carry a Magic Shield for bashing my foe during combat. I am a worshipper of Rodcet Nife, the Prime Healer. My place of training is the Temple Of Life in North Qeynos. The things I like most about being a Paladin are that I can weild a blade and also use some magic, and my Lay Hands skill (It is a great emergency back up if I am in trouble). The things I miss are not being able to summon pets or enchant creatures, not being able to use offensive spells and not possessing the Gate or Bind spells. I tend not to have large money savings for long as I like to enhance my armour or weaponry whenever possible. For carrying items I use 4 backpacks, and I also store a Greater Light Stone in my inventory so that I can see my way at night without having to hold a lantern.
Who Am I?
Hi, my actual name is Dave Hodrien. I am a 23 year old from Birmingham in England, UK. For a living I am an Access Database Developer. Currently I am working at Transco in Solihull. I have been working here since I left University. I was studying at Plymouth for 3 years between 1995-98. My degree was in Ecology with Computing. Now I live back home with my parents and Budgie (My brother Andrew). Soon I will be getting engaged to my gorgeous girlfriend Nicky, and then I will move into her flat in Sutton Coldfield. I am currently learning to drive.
I've got a wide range of interests. As far as sports go I am into Squash, Tennis, Swimming, Bowling and Pool (down the pub). I am also a Scuba Diver. I have PADI Open Water Diver. I have done around 30 dives, most of them while down at Plymouth. My favourite dives have been one off the coast of Majorca with underwater caves, and a wreck dive to a sunken battleship in Plymouth. I am a movie buff and love going to the cinema. I guess my favourite types of film are action and horror. I consider The Green Mile to be the best movie ever made. It is also my favourite book of all time. I also am into japanese anime. The best anime series I have seen is Neo Genesis: Evangelion. Watch it if you can, it's fantastic. I am into PC games in a big way, and Everquest has changed my view on games forever - it's the best thing since the invention of the wheel. I also use the PC for graphic artwork and game creation (Using Games Factory Pro). I am very interested in UFOs and the paranormal. I go to a UFO Conference in Leeds each year. I have a wide range of music tastes, but I would definately class myself as a rocker. Other music styles I also like include trance, earth music and film soundtracks. My favourite bands include Korn, Rage Against The Machine, Limp Bizkit, Eminem, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Deftones, Nirvana, Queen, Linkin Park, Greenday, Blink 182 and Prodigy. Most years I go to a cool music festival, usually Glastonbury. The clubs I visit in Birmingham are the rock clubs XLs and Eddies. I sing at karaoke down my local pub, The Olton Tavern. Lager and cider drinking are another of my regular pastimes. The occasional cigar isn't bad either. Sometimes I visit the casino in Birmingham with my friend Si for some games of Roulette. The only instrument I play is bongo drum (Although whether I play it any good is highly debateable)
