Qeynos Map

CHA Clanhouse Of The Silent Fist: This is the best place to sell items. Not only is it close to the gate but you get some of the best prices in Qeynos

IFEB Ironforge Estate: A good armour and weapons shop. However I would reccomend buying anything but the lowest level stuff off players to get much better deals

TOLC Temple Of Life: Training Guild for Paladins and Clerics. Can buy spells here also. Give Diseased Pelts to Princess Chalaria inside saucer.

LMID Lion Manes Inn: Come here to get drunk. Can also buy grapes for food from barmaids

HOSE Halls Of Steel: Warriors Guild. Can give Gnoll Fangs to Captain Tillin on upper level

GOFF Grounds Of Fate: Player VS Player arena. Anyone standing in it can be attacked whether they are PVP or not

HOTG House Of Thunder: Rogues Training Guild

QPAH Qeynos Port Authority: Can buy a compass near here for navigation through Norrath

CPCI Crows Pub And Casino: Gamble money here or get a drink

MSJ Merchant's Square: This is a great place to find low level armour and weapons for sale.

COAK Clock Of Ak'Anon: Right next to passage between North and South Qeynos. Good for getting your bearings.

WSSL The Wind Spirit's Song: Bards Guild

MagicM Hall Of Sorcery: Wizards and Magicians Training Guild. Can buy new spells here.

GateN Qeunos Gate: The entrance to the city. Outside is a newbie area with low level creatures to slay. If you get into trouble run back to the gate and the guards will kill anything that gets close.

ECO Erud's Crossing: You can catch the ship to Erudin Isle and Erudin here. Wait for it to arrive at the end of the pier.

BankP Qeynos Hold: The bank of Qeynos where you can store money and items

FAPQ Fishes Ale Pub: My favourite drinking place. You can give moonstones to McNeal here. Also they pull quite a good pint...

Zone Exits:

Aqueducts
There are multiple ways to enter Qeynos Aqueducts. Both the ponds (One near the shop, the other near the bank) have got entrances in them. There is an entrance underwater near the second port pier. There is also a hidden entrance behind vines on the city wall. Coming out of the city, just follow the wall round to the right to find it. This hidden entrance is the one I usually use to get down there as the initial area inside is easy to navigate so you can escape if you need to.

Erudin Isle and Erudin
Wait for a boat to arrive at the port in South Qeynos, then step onto it. It will first travel to Erudin Isle, then the next stop will be Erudin itself. If you want to return to Qeynos just stay on board for the round trip.

Blackburrow
Go to the hills. Follow path North past the cottage then head off diagonally to the right until you reach the burrow entrance in the mountainside. There is a small hut with a fire nearby which can be seen from a distance at night time.

Western Plains Of Karana
Go to the Hills. Follow path until you reach the crossroads then take the right path and follow it.

Surefall Glade
Go to the Hills. Follow path right through hills to the entrance, without diverting off at the crossroads.

Tips for Levels 1-12 In Qeynos and Hills:

* Make sure you are always fully stocked with food and drink, if you run out your fatigue bar will start to drop. If it reaches zero you will only be able to move very slowly. I usually keep 20 bunches of grapes and 20 water bottles on me. Make sure you are not caught out! Some classes can forage for food or create it using Summon Food spell

* Listen out for auctions. You will often be able to get armour and weapons off other players much cheaper than from shops. If you only have some of the money for the item being auctioned, try asking the trader if you can pay the remainder later once you have earned it. You can also auction to buy items and may get a response. Keep searching by auctioning in different zones. Auctioning always works better at peak times because there are many more people willing to buy or sell items.

* If you catch a disease like rabies, it will vanish if you sit down for a while, or you can get cured by taking a diseased pelt to Priestess Caulria in the Temple Of Life in Quenos.

* There are a number of different light sources for night. You can buy a small or large lantern but you will have to carry this in your second hand. If you get a Fire Beetle Eye you can put this in an inventory slot (Not inside a backpack) and then you will be able to hold a shield or item in your second hand or weild a two handed weapon. A much better light source is a Greater Lightstone. This can be looted from a dead Willowisp. Put this in your inventory for a stong light source. You may be able to buy one for between 6-10pp off a player. Note that if you are holding a lantern and you pick up a Fire Beetle Eye, the light from the eye will over-ride the light from the lantern (And it's not as bright). Put the beetle eye in a backpack to get the proper light level.

* When you practice, concentrating and using all 5 on one skill will be more noticeable than splitting the practices over a number of skills. If you want to learn a trade skill, decide which and then stick to mastering that one skill. Blacksmithy is expensive but the most beneficial once you get good at it. Jewellry craft is also beneficial. Tailoring can be used to make leather armour to sell.

* If you have any offensive spells, make sure you do not use them while in Qeynos or the guards will be called to kill you.

* If you see a creature corpse that hasn't been searched and you want to loot it, wait by it and keep clicking on it regularly so you will be the first to get the loot.

* I would reccomend keeping almost everything you can pick up. You can sell it and it all adds up and can be used to buy new armour or items. Many people just go for experience and leave the corpses lying around. If you go over your weight limit you will become encumbered and move slower, but you can still carry the items. If your inventory is full and you want to pick up another item, you can either drop a different item not worth as much from your inventory or you can pick up and hold one item on the mouse pointer without having it in your inventory and leg it back to a shop or your bank.

* If you are Level 7 or higher the Haunted Ruins in the Qeynos Hills are a good place for experience. Watch out for Dreadcorpses however as if you get two onto you at once you will be in trouble unless there are other people nearby to help out.

* To get the most experience for yourself you may wish to work alone. To stop creatures from killing you if you suddenly find yourself in a bad situation, try fighting close to guards or groups of other players.

* If you want to get cash or weapons when you loot creatures, kill Skeletons and Gnolls outside, or Smugglers in the Aqueducts.

* If you are around Level 5 you can earn good experience by killing gnolls that spawn just outside the entrance to Blackburrow in the Qeynos Hills.

* Watch out for Torvax in the Qeynos Hills. He is an NPC Necromancer that appears occasionally and usually has a pet Dreadcorpse with him. He attacks without warning and unless you are at least Level 12 you will be in danger.

* Do not kill bears or wolves while you are close to Holly Windswept. She is an NPC that roams the Qeynos Hills. If she sees you attacking a bear or wolf she will attack you and is quite powerful.

* If you are in the hills and it gets dark and you get lost, find the path that goes along the centre of the hills then head South along it to return to Qeynos.

* The Smugglers Den can be found behind a sign across a pool of water in the Aqueducts. You can walk through this sign to enter the den. Smugglers give you good experience and also can be looted for cash. They hardly ever carry items. Watch out for Ringleaders, head smugglers which appear rarely but are strong.

* Once you are Level 10 or higher you can kill Rabid Grizzlys and take the pelts to Priestess Caulria for 1-2pp a time.

* Once you reach Level 12 you can kill Wisps for lightstones. Greater Lightstones can be used in a quest to get big money. To kill the Wisps you'll need a magical weapon or offensive spells so it may be better to attack them in a group. Try using Shining Star Of Light or Gnoll Hide Lariat. You can get a Lariat from a Splitpaw Gnoll in Blackburrow. He appears only very rarely. Or you can buy one for the going rate of around 4pp. If you buy a Shining Star Of Light expect to pay at least 20pp. Not all classes can use these weapons so check before you buy. If you can use Bash skill you can also get hold of magical shields e.g. Shiny Brass Shield.
