Astronema was the Princess of Darkness. Dark Spector told her to take the Dark Fortress and destroy the Red Space Ranger. A little later she met Elgar, Divatox's nepheu. He had to work for Astronema despite her many objections. Astronema had another warrior named Ecliptor. Astronema and Divatox were constantly fighting. They both wanted to be the queen of evil. 
    When Darconda came onboard the Dark Fortress and introduced himself, things started getting wierd. He said that he and Astronema had met once long ago. Astronema didn't remember him. She was fooled by him and made him her second in command, tied with Ecliptor. 
    Astronema had sent a monster after the rangers one time and was shooting at the Silver Ranger. She missed him and hit the monster. It tried to attack her but Zhane didn't let it. He saved Astronema and took her back to a forest. When she woke up, she wasn't grateful to him for saving her. She threatened him but then teleported away. When she returned to the fortress, she didn't want to eat. Ecliptor knew something was wrong. It was then that we learned he had raised her since she was a child. Astronema figured out that she was in love with Zhane. She returned to Earth in human form and bumped into him. She then left him a note on a tree. "Meet me by the camp fire at 5:00". Zhane of course hurried around getting flowers and stuff but was stopped on his way out the door by Alpha. Alpha made him go help the other rangers fight a monster sent by Ecliptor. When Zhane finally did get to the forest, he was late. Astronema was angry and said she never wanted to see him again. But she knew deep down she still loved him. 
    About a week later she got this feeling that her brother was alive. Ecliptor had told her that her parents and her brother were killed by the Power Rangers. When she lost her locket in a battle, Andros compared it with his. They were the same. That ment that Astronema was his sister Karone. At first she didn't believe him but she later began to trust him. She lead him and the other rangers to the planet where she said Zordon was being held. While there it looked like she was truly evil but she proved herself to be good after all. When she was back on the megaship, the rangers decided to make her the honorary Purple Ranger. Meanwhile Dark Spector had sent an astroid to Earth. The only way to stop it was for Karone to go back to the Fortress and reprogram it. She did this but was captured by a new brainwashed Ecliptor. 
    Circuit Ecliptor turned her into Circuit Astronema. She didn't remember her past. All she knew was the rangers were her enemies. She sent the Psycho Rangers after them but they got rid of them. Dark Spector then told her to round up all of his forces to attack the universe. The rangers were almost defeated but Andros snuck onto the Fortress and fought Astronema. He knocked her out and was told to bust Zordon't energy tube. When he did this, all of the villains were either killed or turned good. Andros carried Astronema outside. Because he thought he had killed her, he began to cry. His tears brought her back to life as Karone. She returned to Earth with the other rangers. 
    Later off in Space, Kendrix, the Pink Galaxy Ranger had been killed by Psycho Pink. Her Quasar Saber had been taken to Onyx to be bid on. Karone dressed up like Astronema and bid a million dollars for the saber. But she was strong enough to just take it. She would have got out ok but Trakeena stopped her. She knew she wasn't Astronema any more. Karone fought Villimax and was able to get out. She took the saber to the rangers but got into a fight with Trakeena. Trakeena had taken the saber and kicked Karone off of a mountain. She would have fell but was saved by Kendrix's ghost. Kendrix told her to be the Pink Ranger in her place. Karone got the saber back from Trakeena and became the best ranger in history. She wasn't sure if she could be as good as Kendrix but Maya convinced her that Kindrix would be honored to have Karone take her place. 
    The next day Leo, the Red Ranger lost his powers. Karone remembered a warrior she had fought as Astronema. He had these two keys that could help Leo. When she went back to where she had fought the warrior, she was faced with the battle of her life. Against her former self. She defeated Astronema and was able to enter the cave. The warrior was turned to stone and the keys were gone. Karone began to cry because of the horrible thing she had done. Her tears brought the warrior back to life. Her gave Leo the keys and he got his powers back. 
    Terra Venture found its new home on Marinoi. Karone went to the planet with the others and after Leo killed Trakeena, Karone put her saber back in the stone. Kendrix came back to life and thanked Karone for all she had done. Karon: "I wouldn't have missed it for the world." We don't know what happened to Karone after that. She might have stayed on Marinoi or she could have returned to Earth. Wherever she is, we know she is happy. She put her evil past behind her and can live a normal life.
