MAD ABOUT CATERINA VALENTE

			Caterina Valente geb. am 14.01.1931 in Paris. Italienische Sängerin, Schauspielerin, Tänzerin, Entertainerin und Gitarristin. Das Multitalent, das einer Artistenfamilie entstammt, ist seit Mitte der 50er Jahre in D. bekannt. Ihre künstlerische Vielseitigkeit ist ihr Markenzeichen. Sie spielte in einigen Unterhaltungsfilmen mit (z.B. "Bonjour Kathrin") und trat auch zusammen mit ihrem Bruder Silvio Francesco auf. Die beiden hatten einige Riesenhits wie z.B. "Komm ein bißchen mit nach Italien", "Steig in das Traumboot der Liebe" (beide 1956), "Quando, Quando, Quando (1962) und natürlich das unvergessene "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Honolulu-Strand-Bikini" (1960). Ihre grössten Erfolge: - Ganz Paris träumt von der Liebe (1955) - Tipitipitipso (1957) - Tschau, Tschau Bambina (1959 Platz 2) - Ein Schiff wird kommen (1960 Platz 5) Caterina Valente visited Alfred Biolek’s TV Kitchen on German television in 1997 and was as cocky as a school girl and told Alfred, that she had learned cooking from a male circus worker, when she travelled with Circus Grock at a very young age. Later she had done a cooking radio program in The States, where listeners could call in in the morning and ask for a recipe - and she would ask them to go to the refrigerator and tell her, what they had. Later sometimes in the evening, the husbands would call and say, how good a meal, they had!
