(From far left) The crew, the symbols and what they mean, the Nostromos
layout and finally Lambert is ok and stable. Good.
Comments:
A strange and difficult game. You control the team as they move around the Nostromo looking for an escape and hoping not to run into the Alien. This is done via choices down the side of the screen. This makes for long, drawn out gameplay and not much fun. I should think it was quite tense and atmospheric on it's release though.
Other versions of Alien:
Format: Spectrum 48K
From: RJS
Year: 1982
Comments: Made before the above version. This one takes the form of a 3D maze game set in the air-shafts of the Nostromo. You are armed only with a flame thrower and you mission is simply to escape. There is a long sequence of instructions before you load the game which makes for repetitive replaying.

Comments: Same as the Argus Press Spectrum one.
Format: Atari 2600

Year: 1982
Comments: Amazingly this is based on the film. Its a pure Pac Man rip-off. Why Fox would make a game like this based on their movie is beyond me!

Comments:
Having only played this briefly it seems to be a mission based shooter in the doom mould. The levels are each based on different scenes from the first three Alien movies. Reasonably well received on its release but quite dated now. Both versions are the same.
