Beethoven's 2nd

From: Hi-tech Expressions
Year: 1993
Format: Super Nintendo
Comments:
I made this website to show that, as well as the obvious money making cash-ins, there are also some really weird choices for movie games and this is one of them. Based on the second dog movie (there isn't a game based on the first which makes this one even more strange). You control the big Saint Bernard Beethoven as he wanders various landscapes searching for his lost puppies. You can defend yourself against cats, poodles, and workmen (amongst others) by barking repeatedly or shaking his wet fur over them all. The main sprite is well animated but hard to control which is a shame as this could have been a fun game.
Other versions of Beethoven's 2nd:
Format: Nintendo Gameboy
From: Hi-tech Expressions

Comments: Another game based on the second dog movie. Here you must guide Beethoven around various locations causing 'mayhem'. For instance the first level takes place on a building site with the St Bernard knocking rivets out with his head. The graphics are a bit bland and the gameplay is a bit hard but it is quite good fun.
