The Blair Witch game is actually three separate games not directly based on the films.
Blare Witch Volume 1: Rustin Parr- Set in 1941 you control Dr Elspeth Holliday, an investigator for the Spookhouse agency. You journey around Burkittsville investigating the murder of seven children presumed to have been committed by Rustin Parr.
Blare Witch Volume 2: Legend Of Coffin Rock- A young girl named Robin Weaver discovers a soldier in Burkittsville. As he is suffering from amnesia she names him Lazarus. When Robin goes missing it is up to Lazarus to find out what has happened to her.
Blare Witch Volume 3: The Elly Kedward Tale- The year 1786. A young woman, Elly Kedward is accused of being a witch and is banished from Burkittsville. When children start to go missing the witch hunter Johnathon Pyre (your character), journeys to Blair to investigate.
Each one of the games is a Resident Evil style adventure game. They are said to be quite good.
