How it works:

For 2 To 4 Players, Ages 8 and up.
Jurassic Park is a great board game. Just the sort of thing to play if there is a power cut or the TV is broken. The point of the game is to get your chosen character from the start point at the bottom to the safety of the Visitor Centre at the top. Each player gets to move their character and a dinosaur if they wish. The character moves only one space at a time but a dinosaur moves the number of spaces gained by a roll of the dinosaur dice. If you can move a dinosaur onto the same square as an opponent then they are stuck on that spot until they either get to move the dinosaur themself (by getting that dinosaur on a roll of the dice) or by using an escape card dealt from the card pile. A dinosaur can't attack you if you land on a maintenance shed though.  This can make for some great tactical action!
Another highpoint of this particular game is the level of detail in the board and the pieces. The huge board is very well drawn and laid out and the 3D cardboard, self assembly Visitor Centre is great. All the dinosaurs are detailed plastic pieces that vary in size depending on which breed they are, the largest being the T-Rex.

Definitely one of the better movie related board games. If only it didn't take so long to tidy away...
