Cliffhanger

From: Sony Imagesoft
Year: 1993
Format: Megadrive/Genesis

Sly taking on the bad guys. Sort of
Comments:
A scrolling beat-em-up based on the Renny Harlin directed Stallone movie. You play Gabe as he punches, kicks and stabs his way through all the nasty bad guys, in sub-zero temperatures. Not bad but nothing new.
Other versions of Cliff Hanger:
Format: Super Nintendo
From: Sony Imagesoft
Year: 1993
Comments: Identical to the Megadrive/Genesis version. Same graphics, music same everything.
Format: Mega/Sega CD
From: Sony Imagesoft
Year: 1993

Comments: Same as the cartridge version only with some new 3D Snowboarding levels and 20 minutes of video taken from the film. The gameplay is just as standard though.
Format: NES
From: Sony Imagesoft
Year: 1993
Comments: A truly awful looking platform game. You control what is supposed to be Gabe although it barely resembles a person, has he leaps across mountains fighting wolves, birds and the occasional terrorist, while recovering the stolen money. Like I said before the graphics are pretty unpleasant especially the green Stallone sprite. The music and sound aren't much better. Avoid this version.
Format: Nintendo Gameboy
From: Sony Imagesoft
Year: 1993
Comments: Same as the NES version. The poor graphics don't look so bad on a small, black and white screen.
Format: Amiga
From: Psygnosis
Year: 1994
Comments: Same as the NES/Gameboy versions. The graphics are a bit colourful and cartoony and the sprites are a bit small too. Sly must jump around the frozen mountains collecting the bags of stolen money and rescuing the hostages. The in-game-graphics in the above picture aren't working properly.
