In a tank during a daring escape (left) and facing the enemy by some
explosive barrels (right)
Comments:
By far the best game on the Nintendo 64 (and without doubt the best Bond game). You play James Bond in a mission based first person perspective shooter. The graphics are great. The locations are brilliantly reproduced. It follows the plot of the film very closely indeed (although I don't remember the tank escape taking place at night). The weapons are varied. From the Bond standard PPK to grenade launchers. There is also a multi-player deathmatch option allowing up to four players to choose their favourite character and then shoot their friends. A great game.
Other versions of GoldenEye:
Format: Nintendo Virtualboy
From: Rare
Year: Planned but Cancelled

Comments: Rare planned a second GoldenEye game for the ill fated Virtualboy console but it was never made. The reason for this is almost definitely down to the fact that the Virtualboy console was never released outside of Japan and it was soon scraped after only a handful of games had been produced for it.
