Format: NES

The action packed Goonies game.
Comments:
An old style platformer. You must collect bombs to blow up the doors behind which children are being held captive. There are nasty rats and unstoppable gun men out to get you though. Quite good fun even if the graphics and sound are a bit dated.Other versions of The Goonies:
Format: MSX
From: Konami
Year: 1985
Comments: Similar to the NES version. You control Sloth. His mission? To save the Goonies who have been captured by the Fratelli's and imprisoned in One-eyed Willy's cave. You run and jump around cave collecting keys in order to free the captive children. The more baddies you kill the more experience you gain. This is quite a good game.
Format: Amstrad CPC
From: US Gold
Year: 1985
Comments: Different to the NES game. You control the two kids trapped in a variety of situations including the house of the bad guys and you must work together to escape them. Good, hard thinking, stuff.

Comments: Same as the other computer versions just with the usual technical differences.

Goonies II

Year: 1987

Comments:
There was no film sequel but there was a game sequel. It is an updated version of the first NES Goonies but with improved graphics and sound and an expanded exploration element.
