Lethal Weapon

From: Ocean
Year: 1992
Format: Super Nintendo

Riggs shoots a ladder. Nice mullet though.
Comments:
Oh boy...A platform shooter based on the first three movies but featuring more images of the third outing. Terrible ill fitting cartoony graphics and poor gameplay make this one of the worst movie licenses ever. Really crap.Other versions of Lethal Weapon:
Format: Commodore 64
From: Ocean
Year: 1992
Comments: An extremely downsized version of the SNES game. The graphics are quite good (the scrolling is very smooth) and the sound is alright but there is no in game music and every time you walk through a door the new area has to be loaded from the disc. This seriously slows down what is not a particularly good game to start with.
Format: IBM PC
From: Ocean
Year: 1992

Comments: Same as the Commodore and SNES games. It looks quite good but still isn't any fun.
Format: Nintendo Gameboy
From: Ocean
Year: 1992
Comments: Released around the time of the third film but it doesn't seem to be based on it. Infact it isn't based on any of them at all. Not as bad as the SNES game (nothing could be that bad) but it is really, really hard. You play Riggs first and then Murtaugh when he gets killed. The game is a scrolling Final Fight style beat-em-up. The sprites a pretty large and the backgrounds are good (considering the format) but the moves are limited and it is just plain difficult to actually hit an enemy. Add to this the fact that the levels are so long, you only get one continue and when you use it you have to start from the very beginning again. It's not great but at least it's got mullets in it.
Format: NES

Year: 1992
Comments: A larger version of the Gameboy game. It features more levels but is basically the same game. It's really easy too but the levels are really long. One level is made up of three stages which are long enough to be levels by themselves. Because of this it gets pretty repetitive and eventually boring.
