The Hit squad
Movie Collection

What is the Movie Collection?

In the Late eighties-early nineties many companies that made
games for the Amstrad, Spectrum and Commodore formats
were re-releasing their games in different, cheaper, packaging
and at a more affordable price

Rather than re-release all their games on their own different labels
Ocean, Domark and Activision decided to create one label under
which all their games could receive a budget (£3.99) release.
All the games would have the same, unifying,
packaging in order for them to stand out in the,
 already saturated, 8-bit cassette market.

Due to the immense size of their now combined back catalogue
of games it was decided that they would be divided into several,
numbered, series based on the individual game's content.
These series included;
The Arcade Collection, The Sports Collection
and The Movie Collection.

Each game was given it's own number,
starting with the earliest at 1 and then
continuing right up to the most recent re-release...

On this page I will try to show case the whole Movie Collection.
I have no idea how far it ran but I guess there would not have been many, if any, after #30.
I won't be able to complete this by myself so if you have absolutely any information
that you might think helpful (which number a certain game is, images etc) please
email me at gaz@kojima.freeserve.co.uk

I've also found that not all the games in the Movie Collection were based on movies.
Also games based on TV programs were put in there too.

There are now only 4 box covers missing!
