Comments:

Enemies attack you from off screen, where you can't see them. The ally characters following you get caught on every corner and obsticle that comes their way and blindly wander into harm. If they die, which they have a habit of doing, you must start the mission again. And to top it off the only puzzles that turn up are crappy platform jumping ones. Does this sound like a good game to you?

Comments: A super-fast racing game based on the Pod Racing sequence of the film. Got good reviews and the graphics are good if a little foggy (well what do you expect from the N64).

Comments: A different version of the Pod racing game. This time it takes place from top-down. The controls are a little tricky at first but you get used to them. You race against a rival across various tracks on various planets. The winner gets a new racing pod. Fast graphics, full of colour help make this good fun.

Format: Arcade

Name: Star Wars Racer: Arcade

From: Sega

Year: 2000

Comments: An arcade quality take on the Pod Racing sequence from the movie. The difference is that this actually looks like the movie unlike the foggy N64 game. The cabinet is a seated one with the two control levers and a turbo boost like Anakin's pod. You choose your track and pod from several and then race like a maniac at super speeds. Good fun. Thanks to Justin Smith for the pictures.

Comments: A rubbish action game. One of the first games released for the system.

Comments: A Playstation 2 version of the Pod Racer game. More when I get it.
