(Left-Right) The story, getting a message and taken on the enemy

Comments:

If Alec Baldwin, or any Baldwin for that matter, is in a film the chances are it's gonna suck. But if the main star of the film is Alec Baldwin then it's a dead cert! The film didn't do too well but it still had this game released to cash in. You play the Shadow in a pretty standard 'Final Fight' style beat-em-up. I was surprised at how good this game actually is. Now don't get me wrong, it's no master piece but they certainly put in some effort. The sound is in dolby surround and mixed with the dark, moody graphics and music this makes a very atmospheric game. The action itself is pretty straight forward. The Shadow can do a punch combo, a sweep kick to clear multiple opponents and he can jump and kick or punch. If you grab an enemy you can knee him or throw him. You also have several magic powers which you loose energy from every time you use them. These include, invisible, dash-for barging an opponent and devistate- for knocking down all enemies. So far so standard. The only new feature is that you go hand-to-hand with unarmed baddies but you draw your guns on those who are armed. This adds some variation to the game, but after a while it gets a bit monotonous, not helped but the loooong levels.
