Spiderman taking on the enemies in New York
Comments:
The game takes place in a third-person perspective with the player controlling Spider-man through levels of action and also some 'Metal Gear Solid' style stealth. The game follows the plot of the movie quite closely until it introduces other Spidey foes like Raven, Shocker, Scorpion and Kraven the Hunter in order to make the game longer. The controls are a little fiddly to start with as they allow you to do everything that Spider-man can but you will get used to them quite quickly. The swinging and also the swinging battles are very easy to control. The graphics are amazing, and the voices in the game are all new samples from Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe (and some hints and tips from Bruce Campbell too). The only bad thing I find with the Spider-man game is it can be very hard and frustrating at times and the fighting system is also very bland. When you hit an ordinary enemy or he hits you there is no reaction making the fight look rather dull. All in all a great game if you are a Spider-man fan but you may not like it otherwise.
