The Spy Who Loved Me

From: Domark

Year: 198?

Format: Amstrad CPC

Going for a nice drive in the country

Comments:

This has very, very little to do with the film. The whole thing takes place inside a car, which is really difficult to control. You must (try and) stick to the road (anything outside it, like grass, will cause mass amounts of damage to your vehicle) collecting gold coins. It's not just the steering that will cause you to crash. There are also puddles and oil spills that will make you spin out of control. When you die you get a message saying "Bad Show James". Of all the Domark Bond games this is the worst receiving a score of only 11% from the magazine Amstrad Action when it was re-released.

Other versions of The Spy Who Loved Me:

Format: Spectrum 48K

From: Domark

Year: 198?

Comments: Same as the Amstrad version. Much easier to control and adds (as does the Commodore version) humans and animals to the obstacles. No music or sound.

Format: Commodore 64

From: Domark

Year: 198?

Comments: Same as the other two versions but with better presentation and music. Features human and animal obstacles like the Spectrum version. Hit them and loose 50 points. Again, much easier to control than the Amstrad version.
