If you look very closely at this screens you can just about make them out...

Comments:

You fly an X-wing fighter through space shooting down Tie-fighters until you reach the Death Star. You then re-enact the trench run and blow the giant base sky high. Then you do it again. Uses what was then state of the art 'Vector' graphics (Unfilled lines) as well as music and speech from the movie to make a more engrossing experience. Good for it's time.

Other versions of Star Wars:

Comments: A home conversion of their arcade game. Not bad by the 2600 standards but by ours it looks really bad.

Format: Amstrad CPC

From: Domark

Year: 1987

Comments: Another conversion of the Atari arcade. A much better job than the 2600 version.

Format: Collecovision

From: Parker Brothers

Year: 1984

Comments: Yet another conversion of the Arcade game. It's actually impressively close to the original as far as the graphics go but the sound is quite lacking.

Format: Commodore 64

From: Domark

Year: 1987

Comments: The same as the Domark Amstrad version of the Arcade game. The Tie Fighters move very slowly with few frames of movement. There is one speech sample after it loads.

Format: Commodore 64

From: Atari/LCL

Year: 1983?

Comments: Atari converts their own arcade game for the Commodore 64. The Tie Fighters don't approach you in this version, they just fly around in the distance like tiny dots. Much more like the 2600 version.

Format: Super Nintendo

From: LucasArts

Year: 1992

Comments: Well regarded platform/driving game based closely on the film. As with the others there are long animated story sequences using still images from the film. While the presentation is the same the actual in game graphics aren't as good as the subsequent games.

Format: Sega Master System

From: LucasArts

Year: 1993

Comments: A side-scrolling platformer. You play Luke Skywalker (who looks more like Macaulay Culkin) as he jumps around various places. I didn't like this much.
