Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom

From: Atari
Year: 1985
Format: Arcade
Comments:
The arcade game that the others were derived from (some closer than others). It plays pretty much the same as the others but with the extra graphical flair and with slightly rearranged level designs that you would expect from an arcade game. There is, as with the Atari Star Wars and Batman arcades, lots of speech and music taken from the film. Save the children from the cages and hit nasty guards with your wip.
Other versions of Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom:
Format: Spectrum 48K
From: US Gold
Year: 1985
Comments: You play Indiana Jones and you must rescue all the captive children. There are evil guards out to stop you so you've gotta be fast with your whip. The graphics are black and white and bad and the action is repetitive but some might still like it.
Format: Amstrad CPC
From: US Gold
Year: 1985
Comments: Exactly the same as the spectrum version. Sadly this includes the graphics although there are around two on-screen colours this time. Very realistic.
Format: NES
From: Tengen/Mindscape
Year: 1988
Comments: Different to the other two. A platform game where Indy must, once again, save captive kids. This time there are mine carts involved too. Better than the others but not that great.
Format: Super Nintendo
From: Factor 5
Year: 1994
Comments: A platform action game based on all three of the Indiana Jones films. Nice easy controls and good quality graphics, sound and presentation make this worth playing. Passwords are available so you can continue from the point you left off which is useful in a game this big.
