Time Cop

From: JVC/Victor Entertainment
Year: 1995
Format: Super Nintendo

Arrrgh!! The worst use of digitized sprites ever!!!!
Comments:
I don't think this was ever released outside of Japan or America. I think it is supposed to be a video game sequel to the movie. Walker is challenged by the self imposed 'controller of time' Professor Kleindast, who traps him in various different time periods just for a bit of fun. The digitized sprites look good but interact terribly. Hitting them causes them not to react in a normal way but to leap in the air. The pitiful amount of moves you have are slow to do that it makes it impossible to attack an enemy without getting hit first. The music is nasty old dance style music complete with dated voice samples. There are even spelling mistakes in the intro! This is one awful movie license, no fun to play and nasty to look at. Don't even play this for a laugh!Other Versions Of Time Cop:
Format: Sega\Mega CD
From: JVC
Year: Planned 1994/Cancelled
Comments: Planned but never released, it's almost as if JVC learnt from the awful SNES game. It was circulated as a playable demo available on the cover of Mega CD magazines. The demo consisted of one level with the player in control of Jean-Claude's character. He flies around the screen on a jet pack shooting down enemies to heavy rock music.
