What is FortuneCity?
FortuneCity.co.uk is one of the largest and most diverse free web space providers on the Internet. In addition to supplying 100MB of free web space per account, we are also dedicated to helping the user employ that space in the most efficient and simplest way possible. This comes in the form of many free web tools and advice on promoting your web page. You will also find many goodies and exclusives such as Message Boards, contests, and newsletters. FortuneCity.co.uk delivers not only the free web space you need to build the web page you've always wanted, but the means and help to accomplish it successfully.

How do I get a URL?
At the top of our main page at http://www.fortunecity.co.uk you will see a tab entitled "build". Click on this tab and you will be brought to the Join page. Here you must enter a Username of your choice, as well as a valid email address.
After submitting your information, you will soon receive an email confirming the email address you have provided. You will be asked to point your browser to a specific URL where you will complete your registration process. Here you may fill out some optional questions that will allow FortuneCity.co.uk to help you create just the site you have in mind. You may also sign up for any number of FREE tools for your web page, including Guestbooks, Counters, and much more. You may also sign up to receive any informational, entertainment and/or promotional updates you would like to receive.
Once this is complete, you're ready to begin! You will now find yourself in our Page Manager section where you will find all the assistance and information you need to create just the site you want.

Are there any guidelines as to what I can and can't put on my web page?

I can't write HTML but I want a home, what do I do?
We have created a tool called Basic Homebuilder which allows you to create a page even if you have absolutely no knowledge of HTML.

Can I change my username?
No. Your unique USERNAME is what is used to recognize which URL is yours. If you change your USERNAME you will no longer be able to update your page.

I have forgotten my password / username and I don't have access to the email address I joined with, what can I do?
Unfortunately there is no way to retrieve your information if you no longer use your email address that you registered with. We advise that you save all of the information from your page and get a new address.

Can I have more than one home at FortuneCity?
Absolutely, though you may not have pages used only for storage purposes (i.e., graphics, sound or any other non-HTML files). The only hitch is that you must register with a different email account than you used for your original page. Your fcmail account is not eligible for this. Please note that if you only have one email address, a second, free account can be easily obtained at providers such as Yahoo mail or Hotmail.

How do I promote my site by submitting it to the search engines?
You can submit your site to six of the biggest search engines automatically, by using our site promoting program. You can also check out Submit Plus. From free submission to 110 search engines to "guaranteed" top 10 positions in major engines, Submit Plus is a "must" for a successful web site!

How can I switch between accounts?
FortuneCity allows you to have more than one account. To switch between them you need to close all of your web browser windows, and then open up a new one. This is because of the way that the log-in information is stored by your computer.
