ADVANTAGES : The advantages of the archon are that they are very good in hand to hand combat, and their choice of weapons is very good. When equipped with a shadow field they are VERY hard to kill. As you must have an HQ unit, this would be the one !!
DISADVANTAGES: the disadvantages of the archon are that they are quite expensive in points cost (you can have 2 well equipped haemonculus for the same price). They are also pretty useless without a retinue, which adds to the total cost.

I always have a retinue of at least 5 incubi, 1 of them armed with a shredder or blaster. Mount them in a raider and youll get to grips with the enemy a lot sooner !!.
