ADVANTAGES: Haemonculus have a very low points cost, so you can take the full 3 as 1 HQ choice. They can be assigned to different units to bolster the units strength. They can make use of special 'haemonculus only' weapons which are particularly effective at close range. Their increased toughness characteristic makes them harder to kill then Archons/Dracons
DISADVANTAGES: They cannot be accompanied by a retinue, so if forced to start in reserve, they will arrive on their own. They have a low initiative, so will not always strike first. Their other stats are a lot lower than that of an Archon/Dracon
This haemonculus
aims her deadly stinger at her foes
I would normally accompany units of grotesques and/or wyches with my haemonculi, and arm the haemonculi with scissorhands. The wyches/grotesques will screen the haemonculus from fire, and will be used to get into close combat (which is what the haemonculus is good at).
