This wych succubus was painted in the following way.
step 1 : I first stripped the model of all mould lines and bits of flash. Note the peice of metal joining the upraised leg to the base was also removed, as this gives the model a more realistic pose. This was done using a sharp modelling knife, to cut away small pieces of flash, a pare of cutters to remove all of the large tabs and areas of flash. I used a needle file to remove the mould lines from the model, being careful not to lose any of the detail of the model itself.
step 2 : The model was then undercoated using white spray paint and left to dry.
step 3 : The model was then basecoated. For the face a colour of Elf flesh was used, for the armour plates, red gore was used and for the armour in between the plates, midnight blue was used. all areas that were going to be metallic or black were painted black at this point. The hair was painted liche purple
step 4 : Shading was added to the model by painting a light coat of ink across the particular area. For the flesh, i used a watered down flesh wash. This was watered down so that it would not appear too deep in the recesses. The armour plates were shaded with a chestnut ink, and the armour was shaded with a black ink. The metallic area were painted boltgun metal at this stage. The hair was shaded with purple ink
step 5 : The model was then highlighted by applying a lighter colour of paint over the raised area of the model. For the flesh i highlighted it with another coat of elf flesh, the armour plates were highlighted with a mix of red gore and blood red, and tthe armour itself was highlighted with ultramarine blue. The black areas were highlighted with codex grey, and the metallic area were shaded with a watered down black wash. The hair was highlighted with liche purple/tentacle pink mix
step 6 : The model had the high ridges picked out at this stage. The flesh was highlighted with pallid flesh and the armour plates were highlighted with blood red.The hair was highlighted tentacle pink
step 7 : The model then had it's base painted goblin green, and once that was dried a flock was applied to the base by applying a little watered down PVA glue to the base, then dipping the model in modelling flock. The model is now ready for combat !

The image above is of my wych succubus, of the cult of strife. Unfortunately i will never make it in the world as a photographer, and the photo had too little lighting, which means the picture does not show all of the detail in the model.
