THE BLACK BIN BAG

by Roxanne Cooper (age 11 years)

Leanne was walking home from school when suddenly Leanne saw her father walking out of the corner shop with a black bin liner in his hand. She thought some thing was going on, she walked behind him, about a few meters away from him, then suddenly her father turned around and said in shock

"Oh, hello love, I didn’t see you there I didn’t know it was you. Are you on your way home from school?"

"Of course I am."

"Well I better get off see ya later."

"I know some thing is wrong." Leanne thought.

Later that night Leanne was going to bed , she walked up stairs to give her father a kiss, as she walked in slowly, her father heard her and put the black bag away quickly. She knew something was wrong. That night she thought about the black bag but she couldn’t think what was going on.

In the morning she told her best friend Kayley all about it, but she could not think what could be going on either. Then Leanne asked her father and this is what he told her

"It’s nothing really."

"I’ll ask mother then."

"NO,alright I’ll tell you , it’s a surprise for your sister’s birthday on Friday."

"But,"

"You thought it was something different didn’t you?"

"Yes"

Well done Roxanne!!
