My Light, My
Saviour
Camouflaged against
the darkness,
I am shrouded,
Shied away from
existence
Enclosed in the
deafening silence,
Absorbing the
nothingness,
I am alone
Tears are no longer
shed,
Cries are unheard,
No one cares
Like a bird without
wings,
Despondent I sit
and wait without hope,
Imprisoned within
the shadow I cast
Rising above the
horizon,
Trapping the black
fingers of night,
You emerge
Beaming down upon
me,
Bestowing radiance,
The darkness melts
in your warmth
Your rays caress my
face,
Replenishing hope
believed forever lost,
A smile breaks
through
Throwing off my
shadows,
Growing back my
wings,
I fly to your
embrace where the sun lies till the end of time
