Relinquished Love

 Inordinately fatigued,

But can't sleep

Pensive thoughts swarm like angered bees

Encompassing,

Ready to assail

They penetrate and shatter the dreams they unveil

 Tossing and turning,

Seeking escape

Hands over ears, mouth agape

 An anguished cry,

A numbing pain

Your austere words ensure I shall never love again
