Sitting in school waiting for the bell to ring to signal the end of the day,
Sharon was all excited. It was Friday and she loved the weekend. 
Looking at the clock, Sharon saw there was only 12 minutes left. She felt
like she couldn't wait. Finally the bell rings and all the children leave the
classroom to drop their books off at their lockers. They all seem to spill
out of the doors at the same time, pushing and shoving as all kids do 
when its time to leave that place. Sharon was caught in the squeeze as 
the flowed out the door to the sidewalks outside. 

Looking around, she saw her friend, Sam (short for Samantha) and they
started home together, neither of them really noticing the old man watching
them.  As they walked they chattered about things that happened in school
that day and that week. Bringing each other up-to-date, as they didn't have
classes together. Making plans as they went along, they neared the turnoff
for Sam. As Sam turns to go on her way home, they make plans to get 
together over the weekend. Sharon said, "OK, I'll be at your house by 9 am
tomorrow, if its alright with Mom. I'll let you know if it isn't". Waving goodbye,
Sharon continued on her way home, not that far away.
