Lady rainbow wing-
Tegraine held in his icy hands the crystalline block
containing Princess Jandra. Lovingly he ran a finger
over its clear surface, tracing with the most delicate touch
the curve of white cheek and the fall of golden waves of hair.
He sighed heavily and placed his trophy back on its frozen
ledge. How he longed for a day when she would give in to
his request that she give up her home and remain with him
in his castle of ice. Every day he asked, and every day the
answer remained the same.

"Never, Tegraine! I could never remain with you, for you did
not ask!"

He could not release her from her block of ice unless she
consented, he knew. If he did, she would die. If she would
but once give him the answer he wished to hear, his
magical frost gem would inure her to the bone-chilling cold
of the frozen wastelands. He would be able to change her
to his size, keeping all the lovely features he so adored.
