A puppy's love is wise
and with a look
draws light from me
who often feels so
cold and dark

and in my puppy's
face I see this darkened
soul as I could 
only wish it be.

As looking 
in a magic glass
love reflects
and warmth doth pass
from puppy's loving
tender eyes

to thaw my frozen 
heart with warmth
and see that 
all my hatred dies.
