No
drugs, no rock'n'roll. Well try telling that to ex-user and abuser Monster
Magnet frontman Dave Wyndorf while keeping a straight face. 1998 saw the
release of their now US gold album 'Powertrip' and a Top 40 single of the
same name.
On first listening to the song I was shocked to find how well it sounds,
since I'd never heard a thing by them before this, I was expecting something
very different. Lucky I got it on every format, speaking of formats..
Availble on : 7" Limited Edition Picture disc - Space Lord, The Game
CD1 - Space Lord, Big God, Space Lord Video
CD2 - Space Lord, Kick Out The Jams, Powertrip
The video on CD1 fits in well with the song, can't see where the dancing
girls clad in hot pants come in? Best video of '99 so far? I think so.
Monster Magnet have been confirmed as 2nd band on the Kerrang! stage
at the Big Day Out in Milton Keynes , Bradford pop-rockers Terrorvision
have the top slot.
For more information on this great band check out http://www.monstermagnet.net
'Space Lord' was released February 22nd through A&M
Keep an eye on this band in '99 I think they have a lot better yet
to come
