Update 18 Dec 2003 progress report
fariña's 2nd album is nearly finished. A few songs are already mixed, and the rest aren't far from completion. Here is one of the new songs ...."Never Any Good"

Update 17 Jan 2003 progress report
The band is still working on the new album. Backing tracks are all complete, and we are now recording the singing. We hope to be able to put a couple of 'rough mixes' up on the site some time in February.

Update 20 June 2002 PopNews compilation
The 'PopVolume #3' compilation CD is out now. It features one fariña track, "Don't Look Down". The song was written by Mark, Matt and Tim, and Matt and Tim share lead vocals, with Cliff adding harmonies at the end.

Update 21 Feb 2002 new band member/new material
Tim Conway has joined fariña. Tim had played guitar with the band during gigs in 2001, and is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter.

The band is currently recording tracks for a new album. One of the songs, "Don't Look Down" is due to appear shortly on a compilation CD released by PopNews, the French music magazine.
