world's funniest man. It would be an injustice to describe him merely as
a stand-up comedian. He has taken observational humour through 30 years
of public acclaim. His stage shows continue to sell out within hours, and
his television shows are unmissable. |
| But along the way, Billy has become a talented
musician and singer and early experiences with acting have led to recent
critical acclaim in movies and television drama. His success has not been
limited to Scotland. Early experiences on tour have led to a great worldwide
following, and his recent world tours of Scotland and Australia, which
aired to great critical acclaim, have added the profession of explorer
to his toolbag. |

riches and fame. From working class roots in industrial Glasgow, to international
stardom, Billy still retains his link with the street humour which made
