BEST OF THE BEST

In this section I will list the guys who, I feel, are the very best of the best in the world of Elvis tribute artists. This isn't to say they all aren't great or to degrade anyone... it is simply the people I admire the most as far as Elvis impersonators go. I base this on looks and voice. I'll devide them between looks, voice and total package. Click on the pics to go to the performers web page. And tell them Kenny sent ya!

Rick Saucedo has the total package. He looks A LOT like Elvis and he has a good voice. So far... he is the closest I have seen to resembling the king. The only flaw I can find in him is his nose is a little different. But he has the eyes and the mouth and facial structure. I even have an old news paper article about Rick from my childhood. If I can find it I will post his picture from it. It was from 1977 or 78. Around the time Elvis died. I have never seen him perform but I would love to.

Eddie Miles performs, or did perform, in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. I saw him once. I went back to see him again just this year but there was another guy there. I wasn't too impressed with him... nor was my wife or our friends. He tried to BE ELVIS too much. But he did have the moves down and he sung better than Eddie... but he didnt look anything at all like Elvis. Eddie is good. He looks a bit like Elvis, especially from a distance. He has the mannerisms down pat. What struck me most is that Eddie doesnt try to "be" Elvis on stage. He introduces songs as though its a tribute. He is also a very nice man. His voice isn't quite as strong as Elvis's on some songs but he puts on a good show.

Ronnie Mcdowell is famed for his voice. I saw him when I was very young at a local fair. He doesnt try to dress as Elvis nor does he try to act like Elvis. But he sure as hell can sound quite bit like him. I can allways recognise his voice though... not that it is a bad thing... he has a hell of a voice and has done the singing for many movies where Elvis's voice was needed. it is also worthy to note that he has made it on his own sound as well.
