Vessel
will be playing at the Black Shuck Bikers' Weekend at Woodbridge,
Suffolk, supporting Samson.
More news soon. Should be 2 gigs coming up in the near future.
Sorry about the long pause.....................
The Premier Pool Club gig was great, one of the best. (It was
really good to see the crowds of metallers wending their way along
the road to the gig - the venue's somewhat out of town).
The gig at Harlow was...interesting... After a mad and busy day, having played his guts out in a hot, airless venue up until the penultimate number, Barney flaked out cold over his drumkit. Outside recovering afterwards, he was surrounded by the younger members of the audience, open-mouthed with admiration, and when he went back inside again there was a queue for his autograph!

Review of Freaks, Liars,
Circles..... in Here Be Monsters zine :
"Nice
mix of Nu-Metal stance with great old school guitar riffs and
techniques - and I'm saying Fen Garratt is the type of axe-man
Ozzy would pick for his band, y'know what I mean?!? The others
don't mess either and Doug Warren has some voice as well. Heavy
and passionate, and it's full to brimmin' with tons of aggression..."
Being reputed to be Suffolk's Loudest Band, Vessel were recommended to help new Ipswich music venue THE KINGFISHER try out their soundproofing! Despite turning up the volume to twice its normal level, the sound outside only carried a few feet into the carpark, so all is well. Barney is impressed with the venue and pleased that they've installed a drum-riser. A gig at the Kingfisher supporting Extreme Noise Terror is likely to be forthcoming.
Last
Friday's gig went fine, nice atmosphere, good crowd, with the
band battling on despite 1 broken bass string, 2 broken drumsticks,
1 collapsed high-hat and Doug rapidly losing his voice due to
flu or something. (Such is life...)
