Walsall's number one beat-combo, formed in 1978 by long-term friends Chris Cope and Andy Mennell.
Bescot Sidings was originally put together as a vehicle to attempt to recreate the Andy Warhol years of the Velvet Underground - in particular the song Sister Ray.
Together with Andy's brother Chris, Brett Corden, Ian Wilson and Tony Clamp (and numerous other band members - please get in touch for a mention) the band continued to gig and write songs up until their demise (fizzle out) in 1987.
The Sidings never officially split up and there is no doubt a reunion could take place at anytime.
The following tracks were recorded at Rich Bitch studios in Bristol Road, Birmingham on 19/8/1987 and re-mixed on 21/11/1987.
The tracks are available to download on our myspace site.
1. Bore Me Mr. DJ
2. Life Control
3. Thinking It Over
All songs by Bescot Sidings, Lyrics 1 and 2 Mennell, 3Corden.
