VENUE: ?An arena show in Louisiana, opening for ZZ Top?

THE STORY:
?It was my birthday. We went on and I was ready to just rip the place apart. But what happened was that the whole light show rig went down during our set, so all we had were these obnoxious white spotlights that were blinding us. The monitors were squealing, too. I just remember it being hell.

?And then, to top it off, at the end of the show I walked out to the wings with my arm up whilst chording out the last note... and I fell through a hole. So I?m there with half my body showing, and my arm in the air - I feel like the f**kin? bass player from Spinal Tap! And I?m trying to make it look like I went down on my knees on purpose!

?Afterwards, everybody was asking if I was okay. I was just totally humiliated.?
