I first met Extreme in the summer of 1993 during the III Sides tour (I had been an Extreme fan for four years, but was not able to attend any of their previous shows). My local rock station announced that Extreme would be coming by the station; AND if you made a banner that had "Bon Jovi", "Extreme", and the station’s call-letters on it, you would be eligible to win front row seats to the show that night. WELL, obviously I had to cut class and make a banner. My friend and I worked on it together.

Gary Cherone and Pat Badger arrived at the radio station that afternoon! I was so excited and nervous (I had waited a long time for this moment). I kept clicking the button on my camera before Gary was ready, and he would say, "Hold on…"

They were so nice to all of their fans (taking pictures, signing autographs, chatting…etc.). Two girls brought a gift for Gary, and he gave them both BIG hugs and kissed their cheeks. I just followed them around taking pictures…I followed them out the door, to the parking lot, to their car…etc. They just kept laughing at me. I said, "Pose for me one more time before you leave!!!". So Pat turned around and grabbed Gary, and they pretended to be fighting (one of my favorite pictures)!
