I have owned a PC for 3 years and I am used to using Office Pro [Word, FrontPage, Outlook, Access], Publisher and make extensive use of the Internet and email. In October I will be beginning an Open University Diploma in Computing for which I will be studying in my spare time.
1991-Present Wheldon School, Carlton, Nottingham Modern Languages Teacher I teach German, French and English to classes aged from 11-18 including reports to parents etc. I have taken classes on excursions both in this country and abroad with particular responsibility for finance. I am very used to having to adapt to any situation, to thinking on my feet as well as having to plan for the long term. 1990-1991 Nottingham Trent University German Tutor I taught German to adults who worked at GPT Plessey in Nottingham as part of the company's programme after their take-over by Siemens. I learnt to vary my approach to suit the audience and also to respond to the demands that busy professional people can make. 1984 - 1986 Prudential Assurance Company in Reading A' Level Career Development Scheme [claims] I participated in an accelerated training scheme for potential future management whilst also servicing and paying claims and dealing with agents' and the publics' claims problems. Within the scheme we were taught about reporting, planning and the importance of team building and communication.
Cricket: I play in a local Sunday team. We only play friendly games, socialising is fundamental to the ethos of the team, but the matches are still pretty competitive. Golf: I play as often as I can but it is still as infuriating as ever. Reading FC: I am a supporter of this team and go to as many matches as possible. Music, films, and reading: I like all these things when I have some quiet moments in my life.
