National Registration

First issued in May 1943, to replace the previous Ordinary Buff Card, and was held by civilian members of the population over 16, except: -

(a) Those holding, other types of National Registration Identity card .
(b) Those holding Service identity documents.
(c) Those holding Certificates of Release for a definite period from the Armed Forces.
(d) Merchant seamen.
