BUNKERS HILL MOB ON TOUR

On our arrival at the Travelodge, the first thing we noticed was a Panthers shirt hanging in one of the upstairs windows.  Good stuff.  Wigwam quickly defected from the Supporters Club gathering at the PostHouse Forte to join us on our 5 hour beer trek before hitting the Odyssey arena.  This photo was taken outside a bank probably because Lisa's quest for a cashpoint meant that we spent an inordinate amount of time outside banks WHEN WE SHOULD'VE BEEN DRINKING.  We didn't mind though.  No, really.  It gave Phil the opportunity to entertain the locals with his Y.M.C.A dance routine.

McHugh's !  The main drinking establishment everyone seems to mention in conjunction with hockey and Belfast.  The frontage of the building is in two halves and this is a trend which seems to occur quite a lot throughout Belfast's town centre.  Admittedly, McHugh's is a bit of a fizzy lager place but we came here from The Crown which had a lovely selection of nice beers to keep us real ale types happy.  And it is true that Guiness is better in Ireland.  The stuff we get in England tastes nothing like it.

This is the back of McHugh's which overlooks a bus depot.  I took this to show the mural on the back wall.  Not really sure why a dog is chasing a man with a pint.  Even less sure why the dog appears to be about the same size as a grizzly bear.  Presumably its trying to eat him, not drink the pint.  If I was the man, I'd have tried to glass the thing.
