Notes:
31 Danny Lorenz and 36 Brian Greer played in nets. The Panthers' starting forward lines were Drouin/Jinman/Savoie, Hadden/Poirier/Wallenberg, Nieckar/Moria/Sjogren. The Panthers' starting defensive lines were Carlsson/Drolet, Pope/Maloney, with Norris then rolling round to cover the departed Frank Evans.
At around 12.00 there was a moment of comedy when the puck dinked off the back of 24 Mark Cadotte's helmet and fell into his collar. Referee Boniface whistled the play dead as he'd lost sight of the puck and Cadotte skated away shaking himself until the puck fell out of the bottom of his shirt.
At 58.28 the Panthers called a time out.

Just got back from Bracknell. Not a bad game at all and you have to ask Why can't we play like that at home ? We weren't world beaters, but it was a solid workmanlike performance from our lads. As for a draw away at Brack not being a good result, I was told tonight that the Bees have only lost two games at home. I think they've got the whole little rink fortress thing going on like we used to at the LPS.
The goals ? Err, well visibility wasn't great, but I was told Goneau flipped a shot over Danny's shoulder on the backhand to go 1-0 up. Then at the start of the 2nd, Cadotte rather bizarrely passed the puck to PC under no pressure just outside the Bees crease and PC said thanks awfully before slotting it. Wallenberg then made it 2-1.
Then Clayton who had been chipping at various players for the amusement of the Cardiff contingent in the away block (cheers to the bloke with the drum who led some of the best chants of the night). He came unstuck with two somewhat unnecessary penalties one after the other which Sam Ftorek scored on both of. Ironically Ftorek was the player he'd been having a go at more than anyone. 3-2 Bees.
Our saviour was Carlsson who in the midst of a scramble roofed a shot off the crossbar that had me holding my breath as the goal light only came on for a fraction of a second then went out again. Boniface was right on top of the play though and called it immediately. 3-3.
The third period was a war of attrition. The crunch point came two minutes from the end when Pope took a really stupid holding call. Bees were on a line change and he pinned a Bee carrying the puck behind the Panthers goal and hauled him down from behind. There were two other Panthers in attendance and no other Bees about as they were changing lines. The guy was going nowhere. Totally unnecessary.
This set up a very tense last two minutes with some staunch defending, great saves from Danny who was getting standing ovations by this time and the Panthers held off the Bees to grab a valuable away point at the Hive.
Comedy Moment Of The Match: The puck hitting the back of Cadotte's helmet and dropping down the back of his shirt. Boniface whistled it dead as he'd lost sight of the puck and Cadotte skates away shaking his shirt 'til it falls out the bottom onto the ice !
P.S. Cheers to Gary Moran & Co for moving out of our
seats before the game after I got the steward to ask them nicely. Trust
me, you didn't want to sit behind the only two remaining battered pieces
of plexi in the rink anyway.

Don't think I'll be shouting too much this afternoon against Sheffield - think I overdid the yelling last night!
Overall, I thought the 3-3 was a fair result. Both teams played hard & fast, some passing balls-ups by both sides, some clutch/grab by both sides (some called, some not) - all in all, pretty even. Boniface I thought was mostly OK - missed some blatant ones on both sides, called some others.
That last 2 minutes was right tense - Bracknell camped
in our zone, and Danny (deserved MoM) made 2 or 3 beautiful glove saves
(phew!) which of course meant face-offs in our zone again (nerves!).
A good overall performance, I thought - we played well,
but that doesn't automatically mean a win - not if the OTHER team plays
well - which they did.
Thought we had a pretty good turnout of Panthers fans
- certainly made a lot of noise. My Bees mate Simon said that it was the
best atmosphere that they've had down there for a while. Those Cardiff
fans were great (very loud drum), and the Bees fans were nice & friendly.

Interesting game last night to say the least.
One question to the doom-mongers and 'Barry Haters' amongst you......
Are you going to blame Norris for the draw, seen as though it was his stupid penalties that cost us two goals. I know had it been a certain #44, you would have been crawling out from under your rocks to have a cheap shot.
Finally when will Mr Adey see sense and realise that Norris and defensive roles go together like reggae bands and KKK meetings.
Comedy moment of the match for me, a Cardiff fan telling
us that Evans left because he couldn't get on with Pope, and that Norris
and Moria would follow.
