Notes:

For the ISL All Stars Kevin Miehm, Dody Wood, Ed Courtenay, Trevor Robins and Johan Silfwerplatz were ruled out through injury and were replaced by 1 Eion McInerney, 9 Jason Ruff, 25 Ian McIntyre, 27 Cam Bristow and 41 Mike Jickling.  The Great Britain team were missing Gary Clarke, Mike Ellis and Marc Twaite.

A skills competition took place before the game started and it was rules that the team who gained the most points in this competition would be awarded a one goal lead.

The Puck Control Relay was won by the team of Cadotte, Riehl, Miller and Greer of the ISL All Stars over the GB team of Liddiard, Wishart, Tait and Lyle.  The ISL gained four points.

The GB team gained two points over the ISL's one in the Fastest Skater competition as Bultje beat Clarke, but Morgan beat Berens and Berrington beat Drouin.

In the Pass The Puck competition where three attackers had to all touch the puck before shooting on the lone defending netminder the points were tied one a piece when Johnson, Roenick and Barrie could only score twice against Joe Watkins in 60 seconds and Weaver, Tom Watkins and Tasker did likewise against McInerney.

The ISL took all four points in the Hardest Shot competition.  The highest shot speeds from three attempts were for GB: Liddiard 78mph, Wilson 80mph, Tait 82mph, Pope 84mph and for the ISL: Sebastian 82 mph, Ruff 86mph, Hadden 86mph, Drouin 97mph.  Drouin beat everyone by some margin.

The ISL won the skills competition 10 points to three and started the game with a goal head start.

This game, like last years, used the two referee system which seemed a bit odd in a game which traditionally has no penalties given anyway, even at the end when the players started horsing around rugby tackling each other.

Nice to see Greg Hadden getting a deserved MoM last night for the All-Stars.... is it just me, or is he in line for one or more of the Panthers' end-of season awards? - I think he's having a great season...

Benchwarmer picked the goal of the match as being Sean Beren's solo effort (which was a good 'un), but - what about Jonathan Weaver's first goal - that diving tip-in over Greer? What a goal!

Pity non-contact games like that seem to lack intensity, but it was a nice display of 'skill' hockey, I thought....

9-5 final score to the ISL All-Stars (weren't too much good with 'em for the first two periods). We spent most the time cheering on the GB team from Block 7, the lads gave it their best shot but seemed to lose their way in the third.

Just one point though, why were people cheering for the ISL All-Stars????? The future of British Ice Hockey is out there on the ice for all to see and some deluded people are going nuts for the team consisting of 100% imported players. Where do your loyalties lie guys, Great Britain ice hockey team deserves an answer from you.

was the game fun then??? it sounds better than the previous two years although that is from the ISL's point of view.

What about PC, 97mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that has to be the uk's fastest shot, no wonder eoin had to pick those 2 PP markers out of the net last week ;-)
