Notes:

31 Danny Lorenz and 36 Brian Greer played in nets.  The Panthers' starting forward lines were Drouin/Jinman/Savoie, Hadden/Poirier/Wallenberg, Nieckar/Moria/Sjogren.  The Panthers' starting defensive lines were Carlsson/Pope, Drolet/Norris.  The Panthers only had two defensive lines due to 55 Darren Maloney succumbing to a back strain.

At 23.28 there was confusion as a Bees player jumped off the bench and immediately took a shot on goal.  The crowd screamed for a Too Many Men call and play was stopped.  The announcer gave the penalty against the Bees a few moments later, but then Boniface seemed to reverse the Linesman's call again a few moments after that.  No amendment was made over the PA, but no sat out the penalty and it was taken off the clock too.

At 29.33 the Panthers had a goal disallowed as 32 Joel Poirier crashed the net and unfortunately rocked the goal back on its moorings as the puck slid down the middle of the goal.

At around 33.00 Linesman Folka fell over quite spectacularly.  He was skating backwards past the Panthers' bench and clipped the heel of 32 Joel Poirier who was exiting the ice.  Folka flew backwards head over heels and slid from the blue line over the red line on his shoulders.  He picked himself up and carried on immediately after to the cheers of the crowd who obviously appreciated his impersonation of the zamboni.

At 35.10, 8 Clayton Norris blatantly gave 15 Blake Knox a bit of an elbowing to the head behind the play.  Moments later the two clashed again in a scuffle in the crease.  Norris gave Knox a face wash and Knox attempted to jab Norris in the chest with the tip of his stick.  No penalties resulted.

At the end of the second period, 8 Clayton Norris used an unorthodox tactic to run the clock out.  Possibly fearing that he would miss a one-handed catch and send the puck flying goalward, he dropped his stick and caught the puck with both hands.  He then dropped the puck at his feet and kicked and stepped on it for the few remaining seconds.

At 59.10 the Bees called a time out.  They spent the remainder of the game trying to pull netminder 36 Brian Greer, but the couldn't keep the puck up the ice long enough to get him off.

I rightly predicted the score 4-2 to us, but the scorers was a work of fantasy apart from a mention for Mighty Mo. Thought we did pretty well. The Drouin/Jinman/Savoie didn't seem as lopsided as it has done previously, we coped well to say we only had two D-lines with Maloney missing and Moria was red hot aided by some great moves out of the corners by, shockingly enough, Baz and Clayton.

I will say that Bracknell's powerplay was dire though. You could say our Penalty Kill made their powerplay look bad, but they were having problems getting into our zone let alone staying in there and the passing was turning over the puck and bang there it was sailing to the other end of the ice.

Good to see Warren Tait icing for the Bees although he was on -2 not long in. Mr Sacilotti seems rather jovial as he was chatting with us in Block 15 early on.

Comedy Moment Of The Match: Linesman Folka tripping over Joel Poirier and flying head over heels. He slid from the blue line clear over the red line on his back. For a moment I mistook him for the zamboni.

We certainly did ourselves a favour after a bit of a 'wobbly' start. When that Bracknell goal went in after 17 secs, my heart sank & I thought back to Sunday, & the poor performance against the Steelers.

Enjoyed the game tonight, although not everyone did at least 2 panther fans (?) spent most of the evening moaning how poor we were. They even had a go at the school kids luckily block 6 is along way from where they were. What would these people be saying if we had a season like Belfast's, nothing good I bet.
