| Located
in the interior of Terengganu and spanning over 260,000 hectares, Tasik
Kenyir is the largest man-made lake in South East Asia. Sharing its border
with Kelantan in the west and Pahang in the south, this immense lake also
serves as another gateway to Taman Negara (National Park).
Tasik Kenyir is known as an angler?s haven where fishing is concerned. With the many rivers and tributes serving as breeding grounds, hundreds of species of sport fishers like the Kelisa, Kelah, Toman, Baung, Sebarau, and Lampan, just to name a few, are found in abundance. Good fishing sport are at Cacing, Pertang, Leban, Petuang, Saok, Sg. Terenggan and many others. Anglers are advise to arrange for special trips through chalet or private boat operators for the best location, tetapi awas aku sendiri pun pernah kena kencing oleh boat operator kat sana. So nasihat aku, rajin-rajinlah tanya kawan-kawan yang pernah pi sana. Please be informed that a fishing permit is required from the Wildlife Department only when you to enter National Park such as Sungai Cacing & Sungai Terenggan.
