Background

AuthorI was born in Terengganu, Malaysia in 1969. Married with 3 children and now working as a risk surveyor. My kampung is known as Sungai Buaya as they believe there was a white crocodile guarding the river. Once, when I was 7 years old, I was drown inside the river, and luckily I survived. Being a kampung boy, living near a river, I started indulging with fishing and activies that associated with river. During the monson seasoon, I moved to paddy field looking for freshwater species like keli, haruan, sepat, selat etc. My father used to sailing back and forth to Siam (Thailand) and sometimes encountered with pirates. The boat can only be seen idle at the local marine museum at Bukit Losong, Terengganu.

My fishing didn't stop when I went to Hartford, Connecticut for study. I managed to catch some trouts, bass and even got a chance to see the great humpback whale in Cape Code, Maine. I just can't wait to see my two little boys grow up and become a good angler. Most probably I will early retirement and move back to my hometown, Kuala Terengganu and have my own fishing boat right at the back yard. Reason with this site exists is to make friends with anglers all over the world and always look forward to invite them fishing here in Malaysia. For local anglers, you can always contact me, if you feel like fishing in Terengganu. All you need to do is to pay for the diesel and some ex gratia money to the boatman. Lastly, I wish you all happy fishing, do catch a big one and at the same time try to practice catch and release whenever possible.

My favorite fishing spot so far still at unjam buluh near the Pulau Aur.

 Thanks.
