1999 saw Darren in fabulous form hitting centuries against the Presidents XI and for the Saturday 1st team against Shepshed Town. Together with Mark Stanfield, he shared many prolific partnerships including one of 250 in the match against Shepshed. Unsurprisingly Darren won the batting prize for 1999.
