Type A. The original release date of this stamp issue for Uganda was 13 November 1989. The issued stamps had the country name printed in black and were perforation 14. These stamps did not have an imprint date at the bottom of the stamp indicating the year of printing.The denominations issued were 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 70, 90, 100, 150, 200, 400, 500 and 1000 shillings. |

Type B. Stamps with Uganda printed in blue, without an imprint date at foot. Stanley Gibbons list the release date of the 10/- to 2000/- as 1 November 1990, additional 3000, 4000 and 5000/- values being released on 9 October 1992. The denominations issued were 10, 20, 30, 40, 70, 90, 100, 150, 200, 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000 shillings. |

Type C. Stamps as type 2, with Uganda printed in blue, but with an imprint date (1991) at foot. Stanley Gibbons list the release date for all denominations as 4 November 1991.
The denominations issued were 20, 50, 100, 200, 400, 500, 1000 and 2000 shillings.
