After weeks of preparation, our Wedding Day finally arrived. I awoke to the birds singing and the sun shining, and I knew it was going to be a day to remember. Within minutes of having my breakfast, my good friend and trainee hairdresser, Melanie, had arrived. Almost at the same time, my matron of honour, Gemma and my other bridesmaids, Stacie, Mikayla and Marissa appeared at the door, and for the next two hours, we had tremendous fun styling each others hair.

Over the other side of the town, I was waiting for my best man, Simon, to arrive. But at usual, he was late. I paid particular attention to my hair, as I know that Miami would not like it too messy. (I think it looks quite good on the photos, don't you? Well, better than it looks in the morning!)

It was not an easy task persuading Tommy and Peter to change into their fine page boy outfits. They wanted to carry on their game of football!

It was super seeing so many of our friends and family arriving for the wedding ceremony.

It was quite emotional during the exchanging of marriage vows and I even had to fight back the tears...then fight back the laughter when Jason forgot some of his words!

I thought the bridesmaids looked extremely pretty on this photo, wearing the beautiful dresses provided by Louise who owns a boutique shop.

My younger sister Geri chose not to be a bridesmaid. She claimed to be superstitious of the saying 'Three times a bridesmaid, never a bride', but I think it was because she wanted to choose her own trendy outfit. Here she is presenting us with a super silver tray and goblets.

The photographer, Ben's colleague, had a hard time fitting everyone onto the group photo, but we think he did an excellent job. Don't you?

After the speech by Simon the best man, Jason and I cut our wedding cake kindly made by Benni, the expert chef.

There was plenty of fun and frolics at the wedding reception. Lots of dancing, lots of eating, lots of drinking and super entertainment provided by the musicians Robbie, Leonie and John. It looked really cute to see all the youngsters enjoying themselves on the dance floor, especially little Peter, who loved his piggy-back on Todd.

We would like to say a big big thank you to everyone who played a part in making our wedding day such a happy and memorable occasion. Bye!
